BANISH ANGLICISM AND NOT ENGLISH

·        English words should become part of the official vocabulary of Indian languages and Roman script should become an alternate script for all Indian languages.

·        Anglophobia and limiting the number of English medium schools is a mockery that benefits the elite. Improving the employment potential of Indian languages is more important than empty pride in Indian languages.

·        English is important to gather knowledge and for being library language. Hence Indian scholars should know to read and understand English. But they should write and speak in Indian languages for better dissemination of knowledge.

·        Instead of lakhs of teachers and crores of children trying to poorly imitate native English speakers, few good translators are sufficient to make knowledge available in Indian languages.

·        The governments in native language countries primarily address their citizens first and run their administration in the languages of people. Indian public organizations can also at least address the public in the languages in which elected rulers seek vote.

·        Competence in the language of customers and citizens is more important than testing communication skill in colonial language for transparent and accountable administration. The language of customers and workers should be the institutional language of management schools and corporate board rooms.

·        Justice is delivered faster and better when the accused and complainants understand the language of law and judicial process. A country becomes healthier when the medical professionals disseminate knowledge in the language of patients.

·        Every language has certain valuable features and not only English but also other important languages of every continent and country have to be learned to enhance cultural and economic opportunities.
